Benefits Street is a documentary series broadcast on Channel 4. The first series was filmed on James Turner Street in Birmingham. It sparked national controversy about its portrayal of people living on benefits but was hugely popular. The second series of Benefits Street has been filmed in Kingston Road on the Tilery Estate in Stockton-on-Tees.
