West Row Arts Centre - West Row Arts brings back life back to Stockton`s Heritage
Stockton Town now has a new centre for arts. Made possible by Stockton Council’s “Grants for Historic Buildings”, 14-16 West Row is to re-open as West Row Arts, adding yet another unique element to the town’s growing reputation as a hub for arts and culture. Owner of 14-16 West Row, Derek Wilson, said: “As we start our venture with this family business in Stockton, we are pleased to see these restoration works bring so many of the original features back to life and we are really excited about its future as a dynamic 21st Century arts venue. “West Row Arts really will offer something for everyone, from artists using our fine art, illustration, ceramic and glass work facilities to individuals and families who would like to try some of our taster courses or participate in art-based classes. Some of the original features, such as the gas lighting fixtures, will be retained during the renovation of the 1850s building, which is being part funded by a heritage grant. |
