Stagecoach Bus Families Open Day in Stockton on Tees  |  Sunday 28 September 2014

Sunday 28th September - 11am until 4pm

Stagecoach is delighted to invite local families to the depot; to see behind the scenes and find out more about their local buses.
We're also helping The 500 Group (Teesside bus interest group) celebrate 40 years since the formation of Cleveland Transit, the bus company bought by Stagecoach in 1994. Members of the group will be providing a static display of historic buses at the event.

Sunday 28th September 2014 – open 11am to 4pm – Free entry (Entry is free but we will have some items for sale and some activities with a small charge, with all proceeds to charities.)

Public entrance will be through Church Road side of building, near main entrance. (Limited parking spaces)

During the event a FREE shuttle bus will run from/to Stockton High Street. First bus 11am from bus stop near Stagecoach Travel Shop.

The event will include the following attractions:

  • Static line up of Stockton buses and visiting buses – including gas bus and hybrid bus
  • Static display of historic buses from 500 Club
  • Chance to see ‘behind the scenes’ of engineering – open engine doors, bus over pit
  • Stalls – selling models buses and memorabilia etc.
  • Stagecoach stalls with bus information.
  • Charity stalls
  • Recruitment / training stand - challenge yourself or family members to ‘take the hazard perception test’
  • Rides through the bus wash (small charge for charity)
  • 'Your name on the destination screen’ photo opp (small charge for charity)
  • Competition/quiz – with prizes available
  • Official cake cutting photo opp with The Mayor of Stockton Cllr Barbara Inman (1230)
